Domaine de Sauzet Jeanne and Andre Syrah review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

Organic and naked is how this wine is described. It’s had minimal intervention so watch out for the large amount of dark coloured tartrate crystals lurking at the bottom of the bottle that haven’t been filtered out. It’s best not to get a mouthful of these so pour the wine carefully. If you up to that challenge then be prepared for a complex delight – the flavour list just goes on and on. The flavour is initially like a liquified Liquorice Allsorts that has a background of blackcurrant and dark chocolate. The black cherry flavours come later along with a savoury note not unlike smoky bacon crisps. A great wine.
