This ‘GSM’ blend of the red grapes Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre is similar in style to French red wine from further north in the Rhone valley. But as this is from the less fashionable southern coastal area of Languedoc then the bottle price is cheaper. It’s still £12 and for that you get cherry and blackcurrant fruitiness with deeper flavours of leather, toffee and burnt toast. Large flavours that match Persian style fragrant curries.
