The Wine Society’s Californian Old Vine Zinfandel 2019 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

This Californian red made from the Zinfandel grape variety had to make its way to Germany to be bottled, which is no more unusual than many other wines from all over the world that are often bottled in the country that buys them. But does it live up to its full-bodied promise on the label? Sadly no. The blackberry and plum flavours have a lighter note of strawberry that are quite astringent and feel a little thin across the tongue.
