Tesco Finest Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

The flavours are not those you’d expect from the usual big-tasting Aussie Cabernet Sauvignons. Fresh blackcurrant and plum, along with some just-ground black pepper make this more like a tasty Pinot Noir from Burgundy. The slightly sharp aftertaste reminds us that this is an older wine (made in 2017, so already five years old) and so it has lost the intense fruitiness of wines made the same year they are consumed.
