A lovely light and fruity Chardonnay from the well-known Australian brand Banrock Station. But now you have two choices – pay £7.50 and get the wine in a flat plastic bottle made from 100% recycled plastic, or pay £1.50 less and buy it from Tesco in a standard glass bottle with a screwcap. Both packaging solutions can claim to be recyclable in the household waste collection and so there seems to be little incentive to purchase the flat bottle version. Except that it is lighter in weight and so if you’re planning to carry a case of these some distance then the plastic wins. Plus it looks whacky. The wine inside each is the same and has a lovely floral touch.
