Still a great value red wine from Aldi. But note that in the past this was 'Animus Douro' the Douro region has now been dropped from the label and the wine is now a blend from across regions of Portugal. A sophisticated aroma of violets, cherries and Bourbon biscuits is met with a slight sharpness of red currant fruitiness on the flavour. This wine needs food.
