The southern French grape variety Picpoul has reached maximum trendiness and now appears on supermarket shelves as well as restaurant wine lists. This Tesco Finest version has all the characteristics you’ expect – crisp lemon and lime flavours with a background butteriness to stop it becoming too much of a ‘lip stinger’ (the grape varieties name in French). If you like other fresh tasting wines like Muscadet or Vinho Verde then try this.
