Asda Extra Special Malbec Rosé 2021 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

asda

A great tasting rosé with both fruity freshness and perfumed joy – there’s enough going on to be robust enough to match a traditional roast Sunday lunch (or even at Christmas) as well as summer salads. Made from the grape variety Malbec, that’s known for making red wines that taste of cherry and liquorice, when it’s transformed into a rosé the flavours become fresh and floral and more like a fruity white. So expect flavours of fresh pear along with almond and apple along with a little matching barrel woodiness. The aromas are attractive and like sniffing a freshly cut, ripe melon. What a lovely wine. Reduced down to £6 at Asda, making this seriously good value.
