Asda Extra Special Cote de Beaune Villages Burgundy 2019 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

asda

At almost fifteen pounds a bottle, this Cote de Beaune Villages Burgundy needs to deliver on flavour and value for money. It is expensive, but £15-£20 a bottle is the going rate for a Villages Burgundy – Tesco have a version for £22. It is a nice wine that’s juicy and fruity but even so I was expecting a bit more for the money. You do also get some raspberry jam flavour along with coffee and spice, plus a little tar – but it isn’t a knock your socks off sophisticated slurp. Buy it if this is exactly what you want but otherwise get two bottles of Asda’s Extra Special Chilean Pinot Noir.
