[yellow tail] Shiraz 2020 1.5-litre and 75cl review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

tesco

A good choice for an anytime red as long as you like your wine slightly sweet. There’s quite a lot going on in the aroma – sweet blackberry tempered with dark coffee – while the taste has more of the same plus milk chocolate and Szechuan pepper spiciness. There’s even a choice of sizes – the traditional 75cl screwcapped bottle or a new 1.5-litre box that holds the equivalent of two bottles that [yellow tail] have nicknamed the ‘shelfie’. The 1.5-litre box is exclusive to Tesco while the 75cl bottle format is available in most supermarkets at around £7 - although Waitrose is surprisingly the cheapest at £5.99. For best results decant the wine into a jug before drinking to allow all the flavours to mingle and mellow.
