Pay another £1.50 a bottle (a 35% price increase) for your bottle of German Riesling and suddenly the wine in your glass has individually recognisable aromas and flavours. There’s elderflower, melon, gooseberry and apple with a lemon and lime ending. A nice quaffable white wine with a sharp beginning and ending but a smooth tasting middle.
