Asda Exceptional North Canterbury Pinot Noir 2023 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

asda

A nice wine but rather expensive for what is a simple flavour of sweet cherry and raspberry. It’s interesting to note that the price has come down almost £2 a bottle since January ’25 (now £9.33 as of March ’25) and this might coincide with the variable customer reviews on the Asda grocery website for this item. This New Zealand Pinot Noir is one of nine (currently) Exceptional wines at Asda – a category that is not clear whether it is above or below the usual Asda Extra Specials (I did ask Asda but silence prevailed, so even they seem unclear about it). A nice wine to try if you’re feeling flush with the cash.
