A lovely wine. Decant into a jug before drinking for best results – but don’t leave it too long in there as it quickly fades, so slurp up quick! Complex aromas of dark chocolate, cherry, liquorice, cinnamon and boot polish. Taste is of raisins and dried cherries. Luscious. A replacement for port. Which isn’t a surprise as made by port producer Symington with the same grape varieties but without the fortification.
