Kuehn Cremant D’Alsace Brut Cuvee Prestige NV review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

virgin

You can tell this sparkling wine is made in the same was as Champagne as the term ‘Methode Traditionelle’ appears on the label. This means the wine is fermented a second time in the bottle and this creates the fizz by capturing the carbon dioxide gas given off. Made with different grapes to Champagne though, the Pinot Blanc grapes from the Alsace region make an apple and lemon sherbet tasting fizz with almond cake in there too. For all that it is still a simple quaffing fizz.
