If you want to experience a named chateau red Bordeaux at a reasonable price then look no further. It is still £13 but compared to other Bordeaux of this style and age (it's 5 years old and counting) then the price is well-worth a look. The dusky red colour of this wine give initial hints that this wine has had some aging and so probably won't taste all ripe sweet fruit but more Christmas pudding and aftershave with some flat cola added in. But this is what happens to the flavour of wine when its been sat around a while - it starts to break down and so does the colour. The flavour and style isn't for everyone - particularly as its actually quite light bodied and low in tannin. So if you're looking for a full-on fruity Bordeaux then try elsewhere.
