This English sparkling is made from grapes you wouldn't see in champagne - so it's Bacchus, Solaris, Reichensteiner, Madelaine and Seyval Blanc - all more suited to the vague British summer that might be getting hotter, or not in some years. The result is a zingy fizz with apple, melon and pineapple flavours but it's all slightly watery so not top rated.
