It’s made in the same way as champagne using the same grape varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and it tastes like champagne with its apple, lemon and creamy white bread flavours so why wouldn’t you want to buy it? Well it still has that excessive sharpness on the flavour that many champagnes do too so why doesn’t English sparkling try to be something else?
