The Loved and Found range from Waitrose offers you the chance to try unusual grape varieties that would normally not be named in blended wines made of several grape types, but this time they are out there on their own. So do they stand up to be the star of the show? In this case yes. This white grape, now grown in South Africa, makes a medium-sweet fruity wine that shows its German origins with pear and apple flavours with a pineapple and lime zest kick. Nice enough but a bit expensive for something that tastes like Hock.
