White wines made in cool countries, like Austria, will never have the same level of intense fruitiness as those made in warmer places such as Australia. And this Lenz Moser Chardonnay fits this profile with its sharp apple and pear flavours that have a touch of apricot and a slight vegetabliness. There’s a light tingle on the tongue too on drinking which shows there’s quite a bit of acidity behind the sweeter fruity flavours. More of a talking point than a quaffer.
