Albeisa Verga Barolo 1895, vintage 2018 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

asda

Barolo lovers will be falling off their chairs in delight/shock at the amazingly low price for this Italian cherry-tasting favourite – just £5.99 at Asda. If you pay more (up to £20 or £30 a bottle) for a Barolo then the flavours will be more intense and full-bodied, and so this £5.99 version is a little thin. So to make the most of it try opening the bottle and decanting it into a jug a full 24-hours before you plan to drink it. It will be worth the wait to reveal the blackberry and coffee flavours too.
