The price of £17.50 is going a bit for a Spanish white that tastes lightly fruity. Yes the wine does come in a pretty blue glass bottle embossed with flying birds, and Albarino is having a bit of moment trend-wise, but even so the price is eye-watering. Perhaps at half the price it might be worth a try, but at its current shelf position I’d suggest only give a go if you like expensive refreshment.
