A rich and flavourful Italian red wine that can be a substitute for after-dinner port. A lovely mix of flavours that roll in one after the other: dried mixed peel, cherry, toffee, milk chocolate, dark brown sugar and then some fresh berry flavours cut through all that richness. It might be expensive but there has been no price increase for over 18 months. A bargain.
