A dark fruity red that’s easy to like with its plum and toffee flavours, but watch out for the high alcohol levels – a whopping 14.5%! Well that’s Californian wines for you – not that subtle in all aspects. And watch out for the bottle price. This wine is widely available in most supermarkets but I found a price difference of £2 a bottle between the lowest (£9.45 Ocado) and the highest (Waitrose £11.50). A nice enough wine but way too expensive for what it is – this is a £7.50 wine priced at £2 to £4 more. It hasn’t increased its star rating for value since I last reviewed this wine two years ago.
