This wine comes in a heavy bottle that is oozing expensive vibes but really it’s just a French Merlot. Nice enough with flavours of cherry, coffee and chocolate with some extra fruitiness of damson. An extra pound off if you use a Clubcard. Okay but a bit expensive. Plenty of other Merlots on Tesco shelves that are cheaper and just as good. Try JP Chenet if you want a French one or First Cape Special Cuvee for one from South Africa.
