An English white wine blend of Bacchus and Chardonnay that’s been aerated with carbon dioxide to add a light fizz. It’s expensive for what it is – a white wine that tastes of elderflower and grapefruit with enough of a fizz to cause burping that then oxidises quickly into a cardboardy flavour. This is a very ordinary wine that is reminiscent of English wines 10 years ago – time and expectations have moved on though. It’s okay but there are better ways to spend thirteen quid.
