Tesco Finest Colchagua Valley Merlot 2019 review

This is not your usually mild and plum tasting Merlot. Instead expect a strongly aromatic wine with plenty of tannins. Green sappy stem, rather like blackcurrant leaf, aroma and flavour is there initially but these gradually mellow with opening and decanting into a jug into juicy blackberry – but the wet wood tannin is still there.
