A good value red wine with a bit of redcurrant acidity on the taste to help it becoming a great food matcher. Intense damson, cherry and milk chocolate flavours are standard fare for Argentinean Malbecs and this one meets the criteria. Not quite as exciting as the bottle label’s proclaimed “excellent aromatic complexity” but it’s pretty good stuff.
