I last reviewed the 2021 version at 3* and wasn’t very impressed. Now the 2023 vintage is here and it’s gone down in star rating (now 2*, but only just) and in price by £1.50 (now £6.50 at special offer, but usual price £7.50). So things aren’t looking good for the McGuigan Single Batch Dry Rosé. The aroma is of rubber (suggests too much preservative, sulphite, has dissolved into the wine) and the taste may have some fruity suggestions and honey but it isn’t great. I poured the bottle contents down the sink (a.k.a drain cleaner) after reviewing the contents. Blah.
