A French sparkling wine made in the south of France from the grape varieties of Mauzac and Chenin Blanc. These are different grape types to that used in Champagne (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier) and so the resulting taste is going to be slightly different. It’s fruitier, and well just tastes nice – unlike Champagne which can be all gas and acidity. Floral flavours mix with apple, lime, peach and a rich lemon taste. More like Spanish Cava in taste than Champagne. A nice fizz.
