This wine is a long-term staple on the Tesco shelves. Earlier vintages (2018 and 2020) got 3-star reviews when costing £7 a bottle. Compare that to the latest 2024 vintage and the price has only increased by 75p in 5 years! Plus it tastes better. Flavours of lime with a steely finish are met with a slight spritz on the tongue (probably from the carbon dioxide used as a ‘packaging gas’ as shown on the ingredients list on the back label). Lightly fruity and enjoyable. Value getting better as other wines increase in price and this one doesn’t.
