This French Chardonnay from the Burgundy region is one for lovers of oak. The usual oaky flavour, akin to chewing on the end of pencil, are there in spades and obscure the more subtle fruity notes of peach and apple. Handily it comes in half size bottles with a screwcap and also the usual standard size 75cl. It’s alright but not exciting.
