This is a top 5* rating wine and it comes in a can! Tasting fresh and fruity straight out of the tin, you wouldn’t know this was a wine that has spent time in a metal container. None of those slightly tinny cooked flavours that we saw in the earlier bandwagon of wine in cans around 2021, here it seems that La Vieille Ferme have finally cracked the canning technology for vino. Flavours are as you’d expect a red wine coming from the Southern Rhone region – blackcurrant and damson pie flavours with coffee and violets. No harshness and no need to decant into a jug as you would with many red wines from a bottle. Fab, fab, fab.
