TV star Amy Childs came to fame in the UK’s reality show The Only Way Is Essex (known by its acronym TOWIE) during 2010 and has since gone on to be a business woman with an understanding of wine. The Amy Liquid Diamond Prosecco not only bears her signature but also comes in an eye-catching wine bottle embossed with diamond shapes and is finished with a gold-coloured gift box – and all for £25. Add in another fiver and you can have the Liquid Diamond Festival Flute glass to drink it from.
So presentation is stunning and the wine inside is enjoyable but forgettable. A light and easy drinking fizz with a slight digestive biscuit flavour enhanced by crusty bread and apple notes. Nice enough but you’ll have time to enjoy and decipher the pictorial emojis that come on the back of every Liquid Diamond bottle which indicate the wine’s mood and flavours but are really rather small and don’t really shout out that they are the ‘only wine company in the world to use emoji’s [sic] as tasting notes’. A pretty wine in a pretty bottle from the Prosecco Princess who says on her Twitter feed (@MissAmyChilds) that ‘Proud is an understatement’.
