Aldi Specially Selected organic Costa Toscana IGT Rosé 2020 review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

aldi

The pretty ribbed bottled contains an Italian rosé that needs a little help to get the best of the flavours. On opening, my particular bottle exhibited ‘bottle stink’, that is an off-putting rubber aroma that comes from the addition of preservative to the wine. Although nearly all wines contain preservative it can sometimes over-take delicate flavoured wines and cause ‘off’ flavours and aromas. The solution is to decant the wine into a jug and this sloshing about process will hopefully dissipate the offending nuances. This worked with this wine to reveal apple and lemon flavours.
