At just 5.5% alcohol, this partially fermented grape must may be low on alcohol but high on sweetness. The partial fermentation means there’s still some sugar left in the grape juice and this gives the wine its characteristic sweet flavour of cherryade and slight fizziness. The low alcohol level means that the wine doesn’t get taxed so much and so manages to sell at just £3 a bottle. Which may seem cheap but why not just drink cherryade instead?
