Viognier is one those wines that you’ll either love or hate. Its has a distinctive aromatic quality of rich fruits like peach and pineapple and a taste of orange and melon with added lemon to stop it being just sweet. It’s like drinking the contents of your fruit bowl with a dollop of orange curd added. This version from Chilean Cono Sur is widely available through most UK supermarkets ranging in price from £6 (Morrisons and Tesco) to £8.49 (Majestic) so check the price before buying.
