A classic example of a Merlot-based red Bordeaux wine with its plum and green leaf flavours. The aroma is all sweet blackberry and blackcurrant lozenges, while the flavour is more like a fruit cordial that’s had a dash of black tea to boost up the tannin. If you want a sweeter tasting Merlot than go for one from Australia as this one is quite austere.
