A nice wine that’s gone up slightly in price since I reviewed the 2019 last year. Now £10 a bottle (rather than £8) it’s still flavourful with black cherry and blackberry flavours along with some lightening strawberry, but at this price there is plenty of opposition with a better star-rating (Monticelli Piceno Rosso 2019, £8 Co-op and Sirius Bordeaux 2018, £11.99 Waitrose) so it’s starting to seem at its top price. Aromas are amazing though – treacle, Marmite, violets and blackcurrants.
