Saicho Hojicha Sparkling Cold Brewed Tea non-alcoholic review - WineUncorked: Wine Reviews and Tips

This non-alcoholic fizzy drink is made from cold tea mixed with grape juice and carbon dioxide gas bubbled through. The price per bottle of over £15 is eyebrow raising and can only be justified with its use of speciality teas – this one is Japanese green tea but there’s also Indian Darjeeling and Chinese Jasmine. The Hojicha tastes of smoky tea and milk chocolate with a perfumed leatheriness. A very unusual flavour, slight reminiscent of orange wine. Pleasant lightly fizzy drink that would not be out of place as an evening meal accompaniment.
